Psychological Services

IPRS Health provide psychological services through our own clinically governed and fully audited network of CBT Therapists and our specialist panel of partner providers. By combining our own network with trusted partner providers IPRS Health can ensure comprehensive, national coverage for patients. As with all our clinical services, our partners have the same ethos as IPRS Health towards patient management and care.

We utilise innovative solutions to mental health from virtual assessment and treatments with a CBT Therapist via our app, to self-guided online CBT programmes. These digital services allow patients to access therapy without the stigma of attending a clinic or speaking to someone. Online CBT programmes are perfect for patients with mild conditions as they still receive the same amount of Clinical Case Management support from IPRS Health to guide them through the programme and address any concerns, but without the hassle of having to attend appointments.

An overview of our standard IPRS Health Psychological pathway is show below:

Psychological Virtual + Telephone Triage & Case Management Service

The IPRS Health Psychological Virtual + Telephone Triage service is undertaken by employed Cognitive Behavioural Therapists known as Clinical Case Managers. We utilise innovative video technology to conduct a triage assessment which provides immediate reassurance to the patient by providing them with an initial understanding of their condition and to supply a first response / “mental health first aid” to them. Upon completion of the clinical triage assessment the IPRS Health Cognitive Behavioural Therapist creates a clinical treatment plan for the patient and establishes a timeframe for recovery. This treatment plan is based on evidence based medicine and would normally be one of, or a combination of the following:

  • Virtual Rehabilitation
  • Online, Self-Guided Supported Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Video & Telephone Psychological Therapy with a network Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
  • Face to Face Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Clinical Psychology, EMDR Therapy and Psychiatry

After determining a clinical pathway following triage, the IPRS Health Cognitive Behavioural Therapist manages the case to completion. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team with our Physiotherapists to provide a Biopsychosocial approach to the management of all cases.

Mental Health Education and Information

For patients with no significant clinical mental health concerns, we have developed effective and reliable mental health guidance and web-based support materials to assist their wellbeing. This allows patients to view and interact with education and information relating to mental health, nutrition, fitness and wellbeing.

Key aspects of Mental Health Education and Information:

  • Full access to myIPRSHealth.com (online personal advice and symptom checker)
  • Downloadable mental health and wellbeing exercises designed to support and enhance everyday function

Online Supported CBT

IPRS Health Online Supported CBT is an innovative, interactive and engaging programme delivered via our user-friendly platform. It is an anonymous, safe and secure environment, which can be personalised so it feels like the patient’s own space. It is accessible online via desktop and smartphone, meaning it is available at a time and place that suits the patient.

The platform was designed with tools and tactics to empower patients to manage their mental and behavioural health. Social and supportive elements are integrated within the programme to provide the human touch that we associate with face-to-face support. All developed with the most up to date technology.

The programme is tailored to each patient and supported by an IPRS Health CBT Clinical Case Manager, who remains in contact with the patient at regular intervals, addresses concerns and questions, guides the programme and monitors outcomes. The content is designed to be motivational, easy to use, and interactive with relevance to the unique requirements of the patient.

The CBT Clinical Case Manager works as part of an IPRS Health multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists and Ergonomists, to provide a truly Biopsychosocial approach to restoring patients to their full potential.

Virtual Mental Health Treatment

IPRS Health Virtual Mental Health Treatment is an innovative, secure platform which connects a patient with a CBT Therapist from their smartphone or desktop. It is just like an assessment or treatment session with a CBT Therapist, which is booked in advance and has the same duration as a traditional face to face appointment.

The benefits of this treatment modality include:

  • Faster access to assessment and treatment
  • No travel time, hassle or expense for the patient
  • No stigma of having to attend a clinic for treatment
  • The patient undergoes treatment in the security of their own environment

IPRS Health understands the importance of providing our patients with high quality and easy to access treatment. As such the delivery of Virtual Mental Health is achieved through our fully audited Clinical Network of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and EMDR Therapists, each of whom is fully accredited with the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) with at least three years of post-accreditation experience

Face-to-Face Mental Health Treatment

IPRS Health provides face-to-face Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR Therapy and Clinical Psychological assessment and therapy through a combination of our own clinically governed and fully audited network of CBT Therapists and our specialist panel of partner providers. This allows a comprehensive, national coverage for patients to access. As with all our clinical services, our partners have the same ethos as IPRS Health towards patient management and care.

All mental health assessments and treatments are governed by IPRS Health’s in-house team of CBT Case Managers with multi-disciplinary support from physiotherapists, consultant psychiatrists, surgeons, disability experts and physicians.
