In this day and age, we are the kings and queens of the multi-taskers. How often have you been eating your lunch whilst maybe catching up with emails or typing up a report etc. You then look at that empty packet of crisps and say ‘you get less and less crisps in a bag these day’. This can then lead you to looking for more things to eat and can be a risk of unhealthy eating habits.
By simply focusing on the actual task we are doing, so one at a time, we can bring awareness in to our day and be fully present in the moment. This helps us to feel like we are having a more fulfilling and richer experience.

Activity: to be mindful and in the moment when eating lunch today and bringing awareness to it. Notice the difference in how you feel and how fuller you may feel after it? Try to adopt this to other areas in your working and private lives.
