Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a BACP counsellor listening and helping patients find ways to deal with their emotional issues. Counselling falls into Step Two Care in the IPRS Health stepped care model.

IPRS Health provides UK wide coverage of face-to-face Counselling through our network enabling patients to be seen within 10 working days at an average travel distance of just five miles. 

All our Counsellors must have at least 3 years of post-graduate experience, be registered with the BACP.

Counselling can help patients who have mild to moderate levels of mental health distress and can help people cope with, amongst more:

What to expect from counselling?

Patient’s will be encouraged to talk about their feelings and emotions with a BACP accredited Counsellor, who will listen and support without judging or criticising.

The Counsellor can help patients gain a better understanding of their feelings and thoughts and help them find their own solutions to problems. They won't typically give advice or tell people what they should do.

How does IPRS Health Counselling work?

Following a Mental Health Assessment, if the patient requires Counselling and would like to be treated face-to-face, they will be referred to a nearby counsellor within an average travel distance of just 5 miles. Their first session will be offered to them to take place within 10 working days.
