Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a BACP therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with your emotional issues. Counselling falls into Step Two Care in the IPRS Health stepped care model.

All our Counsellors must have at least 3 years of post-graduate experience, be registered with the BACP and deliver evidence based treatment at all times, ensuring clinical quality with every referral.

Patient’s will be encouraged to talk about their feelings and emotions with a BACP trained Counsellor, who will listen and support without judging or criticising.
The Counsellor can help you patients gain a better understanding of their feelings and thoughts and help them find you’re their own solutions to problems. They won't typically give advice or tell people what they should do.
Following a Mental Health Assessment, if the patient requires Counselling and would like to be treated face to face, they will be referred to a nearby therapist within in average travel distance of just 5 miles. Their first session will be offered to them to take place within 10 working days.
